I stopped by this indie cafe today called The Aloha, just up the street and around the corner from my neighborhood. I've decided everywhere small and random that I go, I'll bring my camera and make myself see through the eyes of an artist.
I have this obsession with black and white film photography and it's natural grain. A lot of people find it to be a nuisance, but I think it can bring a lot of meaning and emotion to a photo. This is a digital image, but I added noise in photoshop. So yeah! All that icky "picture sand" is on purpose.
I could care less if you hated it. I took this photo for myself.
it kills my photography teacher, but i like grain too. and i like this picture. the depth of field is really effective and it has an overall cozyness to it (thanks in part to the grain i believe). nice work.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
